I have been fortunate to live and work in interesting times; directly experiencing great changes in our world. Riding along side the invention of desktop publishing, internet, video games, social media and apps. Each step of the way I have not only been able to enjoy the fruits of these advances but also to participate in creating them.
Each time I experienced a new shift I was struck with the sense of awe. “Wow ,they can do that?” Which was quickly followed by “What can I do with that!” It was always a leap from seeing it to doing it but the doors have always opened and let me in.
I am good at seeing the big picture and driving forwards instead of somewhere else. This is a critical skill when you are working on complex systems with lots of variables. In a world where anything is possible it is important to keep track of where you are actually trying to go.
